My name is Dr. Angel Sanchez-Figueras, a dentist from Southern California. I have taken on the challenge of presenting to the world a universally accessible web site whose main and hopefully useful purpose is to provide a point of origin for the dissemination of knowledge, new developments and findings related to the field of dental air abrasion!

The mission of this site is to promote both to the dental profession and to the public, the modality of air abrasion. By promoting air abrasion, it is hoped that more dentists will incorporate it into their everyday clinical protocol. In turn, by the steady and widespread use of air abrasion within the dental profession, the public and more specifically ever younger generations will benefit from its capacity to provide atraumatic treatment as well as providing the earliest-most possible means of caries diagnosis. It is the hope of this author that the face of the profession and the public's perception of it, will change for the better as a result of that and that future generations of patients will experience a more benign and pleasant dental experience because of it.
